SASKTEL INTERNATIONAL AWARDED MANAGEMENT CONTRACT IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

uly 8, 2005 - SaskTel International (SI) has been awarded a management contract by Laqtel Ltd., a Trinidad based investor group, to design, build and operate a CDN$125 million Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) cellular network business in the Caribbean country of Trinidad and Tobago. Laqtel was successful in the June 23rd spectrum auction and was awarded one of two domestic mobile communications licenses.

Fulfillment of this long term contract will require a significant number of SaskTel International resources including senior technical and sales and marketing managers. Other expertise that will be required from SaskTel will include network planning, design and operations, billing, process and customer care. Much of the work will take place in Trinidad and Tobago with the assistance of key support personnel in Saskatchewan .
