SASKTEL INTERNATIONAL EARNS FURTHER INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

According to a recently released global market analysis on telecom consulting, SaskTel International ranks among the top twenty international telecom consulting firms in the world. Shoulder to shoulder with some of the giants in the industry, including Accenture, IBM GS – Consulting, and Detecon (Deutsche Telekom) International, SI is featured in the report as one of the five telco-owned consulting firms that compete with IT, market research, strategy, and management consulting firms for the global telecom consulting dollar.

In the words of www.hottelecom.com, the telecom market analysis company that co-authored the report with TOTAL TELECOM magazine, the report provides “detailed competitive analysis of the top 20 Telecom consulting firms, giving you information on their 2002 telecom sector revenues and market share, world presence, profitability, service offering as well as an insight on what makes them successful.”

SaskTel, the only North American telco to make the cut, is listed in the forward with BT (British Telecom) and Deutsche Telekom as one of three telcos with growing consulting units. Though the industry is in a slow period, the report projects that it will grow from last year’s $7.1 billion to $8.6 billion in 2006. Even with SI’s relatively modest share of the total market, that would represent a $1.5 million increase in revenue during that four year period—a 13 per cent increase.
