TSTT VoIP Consultancy Services and Assessment

Description of Project:
SaskTel International was contracted to perform a Review and Assessment of the TSTT’s Next Generation Network solution for provision of new services. The goal was to provide a thorough and comprehensive capital and resource budget for implementing a NGN solution within TSTT and review the status and condition of the NGN for delivery of the services with a proposed fast track launch of services.

Description of Services:
A review and assessment of the NGN network was performed to look at the network architecture, operations, marketing, service delivery and assurance methods and policies/procedures that TSTT has implemented to date and identify any gaps or deficiencies they may have that can affect the long term operations, service delivery and service assurance of these new services. Components of the assessment included:

Network Analysis and Evaluation
Network design and Engineering
Assessment of Fundamental Network Plans
Assessment of Network Capacity Plans
Network Operations and Maintenance
Network Performance and Monitoring
System Integration and Optimization
Assessment of the networks current and future services
Assessment and assistance with marketing plans for the proposed services
Assessment of back office OSS and procedures

Work was performed on an analysis and opinion approach and a trip report was delivered to TSTT for them to use in identifying the areas they are most concerned with an additional proposals written to address specific needs and gaps identified in the trip report. TSTT will then contract SaskTel International for additional services.
