Description of Project:
SaskTel International was awarded a Project Management Service Contract for Phase 2 of a project constructing a 70 million USD SDH Digital Radio Network for Radio Communications Corporation of the Philippines Inc. (RCPI). The contract was to provide project management services for the construction of 29 digital microwave radio sites as part of a microwave backbone being built from coast to coast.

Description of Services:
Acting as Project Manager representing RCPI, SaskTel International was responsible for defining the nature and extent of contributions required by all contractors and to recommend solutions that would ensure the successful completion of the project.

SaskTel International was contracted to oversee Phase 2 after it had already begun. Under SaskTel International’s project management, this work was completed in 6 months compared to the 1.5 years required to complete work on the 19 sites in Phase 1 of the RCPI project (which was not managed by SaskTel International). Despite being brought in after the project had begun, under SaskTel International’s project management. Phase 2, which was originally behind schedule, was completed on time and on budget.
