Dave's Bio

 Dave Gower is the Director of Engineering Services. Dave is responsible for the management of tender and bid support teams as well as procurement and operational management. Dave's focus is to provide quality, cost effective network solutions for clients throughout Africa.

Dave has recently held the positions of Managing Director - Marketing and Operations and was located in Tanzania for two years, and previous to that as Manager - Network Services in Manila, Phillippines for over two years. As Managing Director - Marketing and Operations his duties included overall management of the local Tanzanian office, providing the marketing function in the East African Region and providing in-country project support and management as required. As Manager Network Services in Manila, Philippines his duties involved network design and engineering along with inventory control and materials tracking, customer relationship management and he also handled all design change order requests.

Dave initially began his career with SaskTel in 1982 and has held a variety of positions since then. He started out as a Trunking and Switching technician in the multiplex and optical transport areas staying there for 9 years, then later moving into switching before taking on the assignment in the Philippines in 1994.

Dave became a permanent SI employee in 1997 and has been involved in overseas projects and operations functions since then.

Dave is also a Certified Professional Public Buyer, and sits on the executive of the Assiniboia Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.
